Grade 8
Denise Pope
I love being the eighth grade homeroom teacher, so many great things happen this year!
St. Ann School has wonderful traditions that make this a very special year for the eighth grade. Teaching Math and Science to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students is a treat for me. I get to witness the thinking process in action in two subject areas that are so relevant and necessary in today’s world.
Prior to teaching middle school for the past ten years, I served as the Director of Religious Education at St. Theresa Parish in the Diocese. My experience also includes first grade and preschool, but I have to admit to enjoying teaching middle school the most. Our faith is important to me and being able to share our faith in the Catholic School setting is a priority for me.
I feel blessed to be a part of the St. Ann School community. It is here that I can share my enthusiasm for teaching, my enjoyment of the students, my commitment to our Catholic faith and my belief in the Catholic School system. My own three children have attended diocesan catholic schools, both in grade school and in high school, so I know the perspective of being a catholic school parent. My hope and prayer is that the Holy Spirit will make good use of me here at St. Ann School!
