Grade 7

Jim Kontoes

I come to St. Ann’s by way of New England, with my lovely wife Heather and our four treasures, Katie (6), Elizabeth (4), Jack (3) and Luke who is a year old.  I have been in Catholic education for the past eleven years, mostly on the secondary level and am now enjoying the world of middle-school teaching.  I have a B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire and an MEd. in Religious Education from Boston College.  In addition to my experience in academia I spent time in the Carmelite Monastery of Kemptville, Nova Scotia and a year volunteering in a L’Arche Community, sharing life with disabled men and women on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.  I have a deep love for the Church and feel very blessed by God to be able to share the Faith with the next generation.
