Ursula Robinson

Hello, My Name is Ursula Bijou-Robinson, I’m a native of New Orleans. My husband & I have 4 Adult Children, 3 Girls 1 Boy, & 4 grand children, 2 boys & 2 girls. We were formerly a Navy family for 14 years.

I attended Elementary Catholic Schools &  Public High schools. Majored in Music @ Xavier Catholic University & Southern University. Western Maryland College Graduate Studies Masters Program. My Minor is in English.  I also acquired certification  credits in elementary education @ the University of the District of Columbia, further Credits @ George Mason, & Masters credits In MusicWard Method @ Catholic University & Folk life Studies @ U.V.A.I worked @ the John F. Kennedy Center for 6 years. I am a Member of the Staff of America Sings since 1995 and have choreographed  small ensembles for the Macy’sThanksgiving Parades, Under the direction of John Jacobson. I began my career as an Opera/Modern Pop singer, performing w/ the Opera companyof New Orleans & Duke Ellington as well as touring w/ Up With People.I performed principle roles in Aida, The Magic Flute & Lead role in Langston Hughes production Of Jericho Jim Crow.I’ve Taught Music In New Orleans, La., Prince George, Co Md., Fairfax Co.Va,&14 years in Arlington Catholic Diocese, at St.Rita, St.James, St.Charles & St. Ann.
