Sarah Mares
My name is Sarah Mares and I am the third grade teacher. I graduated from Boston College in 2007 with a B. A. in Elementary Education and in 2008 with a M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing on literacy. I began my teaching career in Boston, MA working with special needs students and second grade. This is my third year at St. Ann, and I love teaching third grade! In my free time, I enjoy cheering for Boston College sports, cooking, and reading.
Third grade at St. Ann is a busy, energetic, fun-filled school year. Students engage in creative projects across all subject areas and solidify many academic and social skills that they will use throughout their education. Students use and advance their reading and writing skills across the curriculum and become self-managed learners. Third graders are held to high expectations and always rise to the challenges given. The class and I are looking forward to a productive and exciting year!
