Measuring Success

St. Ann Catholic School follows the curriculum designed by the Diocese of Arlington. In the Spring, students in Grade 2 through Grade 7 are tested on their mastery of the curriculum through a national standardized test called the Terra Nova test. Our students consistently score well above both the national average and the Diocesan average.

Test scores are only one measure of our school’s excellence. A more important measurement is how a student performs once they leave St. Ann Catholic School and move on to high school and college. Area schools report every year that our students are well-prepared for high school, and our students almost always are accepted into the high schools of their choice. Our students have gone on to the following high schools:

  • Bishop O’Connell
  • Bishop Ireton
  • Georgetown Visitation
  • Gonzaga
  • Oakcrest
  • Washington & Lee
  • Yorktown
  • Thomas Jefferson
