St. Ann Junior CYO Athletics
The Saint Ann Junior CYO Athletic Program provides athletic opportunities to students in all grades. In addition to providing a variety of team sports opportunities, our program is also committed to teaching Saint Ann students about sportsmanship, teamwork and goal achievement, all within the principles of Christianity. Our program also enjoys a rich tradition in which Saint Ann teams have won a total of 41 sportsmanship awards, which we consider the hallmark of our program. Here are some of the opportunities in athletics that we provide:
Our largest and most popular program, we field both girls and boys teams in each of grades 3-8. Our teams participate in Diocesean NVJCYO league play(NVJCYO Basketball League.) We also provide a Saturday morning “Jr. Pirates” instructional program for students in grades 1 and 2 Registration takes place in early October, practices begin in mid-to-late October, and games begin in December. The season usually lasts until early March. For more information contact Mr. Lucchesi at Saint Ann Basketball.
Our tennis program provides opportunities for students in grades 2-8 to learn about and play the game of tennis. Students in grades 2 and 3 participate in our junior program, which focuses on learning the game and basic fundamentals. Students in grades 4-8 participate in NVJCYO league play.
