Technology and Internet Safety

Saint Ann Catholic School takes a learner-centered approach to technology integration, using digital tools to support student engagement, creativity, collaboration, and learning.

We use the following technology to support and enhance teaching and learning throughout the school:

• 13 Epson Interactive short throw projectors
• Chromebook carts in classrooms Grade 1-Grade 8
• 28 PCs in the Computer Media Center

Saint Ann Catholic School integrates internet safety and digital citizenship instruction into technology classes in grades Kindergarten thru Grade 8. Each year, students participate in developmentally appropriate lessons that build skills in protecting personal information, recognizing cyberbullying, creating secure passwords, evaluating the accuracy of online information, and making responsible choices when using digital tools. Instruction is supported by a variety of sources, including Common Sense Media, NetSmartz Kids, ABCYa Cyber-Five, and Kids ikeepsafe. Instruction combines teacher-led discussions, hands-on activities, interactive games, and guided reflection. Through these experiences, students develop the knowledge and habits needed to become safe, thoughtful, and responsible digital citizens, guided by the school’s Catholic values of respect, integrity, and care for others.
