Technology and Internet Safety
Saint Ann Catholic School classrooms use a learner-centered approach to the use of technology. We use the following technology to support and enhance teaching and learning throughout the school:
- 11 Epson Interactive short throw protectors
- 2 Chromebook carts for shared classroom use
- 30 iPads
- Computer Lab with 25 PCs
Saint Ann Catholic School takes the instruction of Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship very seriously. Every year students in grades K – 8 participate in age-appropriate activities that cover topics such as: cyberbullying, cybersecurity, fact-checking, online safety, among many others. The materials and venues we use in class are children’s books, Common Sense Media games like Digital Compass or Digital Passport, NetSmart Kidz resources, Nova Labs, and classroom discussions posted on Google Classroom.
