My name is Stephanie Close.  I’ve been teaching preschool at Saint Ann since 2021.  Before coming to Saint Ann, I taught preschool at Rock Spring Cooperative Preschool.  I have a Bachelors and a Masters Degree from Virginia Tech.  My husband and I have three daughters, all who attend/attended Saint Ann School, our oldest is a student at Bishop O’Connell High School.  We have been members of Saint Ann Church since 2018 and are so thankful to have found the Saint Ann Parish and School community.  With three busy girls, I spend my afternoons and weekends at various sports fields, gyms and pools but I enjoy running, tennis, hiking, reading, and camping when time allows.

• Use of songs to learn days of the week, months of the year, letters, and other themes
• Use of movement to go along with songs to help develop gross motor
• Use of rhyme, rhythm, and poetry to help remember concepts
• Our projects go along with our theme of the week
• We learn a letter of the week, while integrating the rest of the letters with songs, dances, poetry and craft
• Develop spiritual, social, emotional, and physical skills
• Develop early math skills
• Specials each week: computer, physical education, library, music and art
• We have so much fun
