Technology and Internet Safety
Saint Ann Catholic School classrooms use a learner-centered approach to the use of technology. We use the following technology to support and enhance teaching and learning throughout the school:
- 11 Epson Interactive short throw protectors;
- Chromebook carts in each building for shared classroom use;
- 30 iPads;
- Computer Media Center with 25 PCs.
Saint Ann Catholic School takes the instruction of internet safety and digital citizenship seriously. Each year students in grades K – 8 participate in age-appropriate activities that cover topics such as: cyberbullying, cybersecurity, fact-checking, and online safety. The materials and venues used in class include: children’s books, Common Sense Media games like Digital Compass or Digital Passport, NetSmart Kidz resources, Nova Labs, and classroom discussions posted to Schoology.
